OUR HISTORY
Howard Worth came into being in 1953 and celebrated its 50th birthday in 2003 with a special party for its longest serving clients, staff and professional contacts.
The firm was set up by Howard Worth who trained with Mellor Snape, Chartered Accountants in their Crewe office.
After qualifying he immediately commenced to practice in 1953 at 19(b) Witton Street, Northwich under the name of J Howard Worth & Co.
Howard built up the practice locally and after a period of substantial growth and with staff numbers having risen to 15 he acquired the existing premises at The Heysoms, 163 Chester Road, Northwich in 1966 for the sum of £8755. This still remains the North Cheshire office for the firm.
By the 1980`s David Hubbard and Kevin Dickens were both partners of the firm, and started to play a major role in the running and development of the practice.
Sadly, Howard sustained serious injuries as a result of a riding accident and retired from the partnership in 1985. He died in 1990.
In the 1990`s the partnership set about developing the firm through internal growth and by acquisition.
The Nantwich practice of Syd Perry was acquired in 1993 and is now our successful South Cheshire branch office trading from Bank Chambers, 3 Churchyardside, Nantwich.
The firm changed its name to Howard Worth in 1998 to reflect a more modern image.
Over the last 50 years, Howard Worth has continually provided a high quality of professional service to its clients and has established a strong sense of client loyalty.
Howard Worth is now an established professional practice, and Howard, we suspect, would be very pleased that the firm he founded and bears his name is still providing a professional service to its clients over 50 years later.
